Jack's Bouncy Qubes is an addictive arcade game in which you control a board of explosive bouncy cubes. Your job is to link the cubes by jumping over those of the same color to make them explode and disappear from the board. The object is to clear each level. If a cube is caught up in explosion and it has the same color of the original combination, they will start a chain reaction, exploding too. You can also earn bonus items by creating combos and chain reactions, since the better you play, the more bonus items you get. To collect items like coins, sapphires, rubies, emeralds, lingots and diamonds, you just have to make Jack jump over them.
The controls are really simple; in order to make jack move you can use the keyboard keys or the mouse. The game includes four different game modes: Arcade, Free, Survival, and Puzzle. In Arcade mode, you have to clear each level by raising your combo counter to achieve your goal in the time allotted. Free mode is the same as Arcade, but here you don´t have a time limit. Survival mode is very fast paced and only intended for experienced players. Here, you must survive as long as you can and the game ends when your combo counter decays to zero or when you are caught up in an explosion. Finally, in the Puzzle mode you must match the asked pattern in order to proceed with the next level.
What is more, the game features two difficulty levels and allows you to customize sound, music, color depth, and resolution from the options menu. The game features colorful 3D graphics that will surely call your attention, and sound effects and music contribute to the excitement of the game.
All in all, Jack's Bouncy Qubes is a nice and addictive game that will keep you playing for a while, and advanced players will surely appreciate the challenge. |
